Bourbon Barrel Aged Brews Coming Soon from Shipyard Brewing Company

Shipyard Brewing Company has some delicious brews aging in oak bourbon barrels at our brew house in Portland, Maine. These beers will be aging for many, many months before we release them in limited batches. Look for aged Double Thumper, Smashed Blueberry, Smashed Pumpkin, Barley Wine, and Prelude to be released in small batches later this year. Cheers!

Shipyard Monkey Fist IPA - Coming in May

Look for Shipyard Brewing Company's newest beer, Monkey Fist IPA, this May. More detail coming soon!

Monkey Fist is the genesis of a new generation of IPA. The traditional elements of classic English IPA have been redefined by American craft beer innovation. Like the images suggests, Monkey Fist is edgy, aggressive, and unique in style. This beer is brilliant copper in color and exploding with Warrior, Glacier and Cascade Hop character but able to maintain a beautiful balance.

MALT: Pale Ale, Malted Wheat, Munich, Crystal, Caramalt

HOPS: Warrior, Glacier, Cascade

YEAST: Top-Fermenting English

COLOR: Copper

OG: 1068

ABV: 6.9%

Candace Cares was formed in memory of Candace Forsley, sister of Hike the River founder Fred Forsley. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003, Candace fought her illness with great courage. Even in her extreme illness, she made strides to reach out to others each and every day. Her optimism and happiness were contagious.
