Not your ordinary day at the beach

INAUGURAL BEACH RAID COMING TO KENNEBUNK ON OCTOBER 1ST

Innovative 5K Race to feature beach themed obstacles and boot camp exercise stations on the beaches of Kennebunk

Do you want to challenge yourself? Space is limited and online registration is now open, go to www.beachraid.com and register today!

The first ever Beach Raid will be hitting Gooch’s and Mother’s Beaches with full force this October 1st. Amidst the quaint scenery of Kennebunk, Maine, the Beach Raid will offer participants a race like no other. Participants will charge through a physically grueling course interspersed with natural and manmade obstacles and “bootcamp” style exercise stations.

Some challenges that could present themselves at the Beach Raid include lobster trap hurdles, cargo net sand crawls, a sandbag carry, broad jump burpees and much more.

Portland Maine based sports marketing firm, Aura360 Ventures, creators and producers of global emerging sports event and television properties, will own and produce the event. Get Out There Fitness, a year round Beach Bootcamp of Kennebunk will be assisting Aura360 with the exercise stations for the Beach Raid.

After the event, Federal Jack’s Restaurant & Brew Pub (www.federaljacks.com), the birthplace of Shipyard Brewing Company (www.shipyard.com), will host an exclusive party for Beach Raid participants and their friends and family. The after-party will offer the perfect setting to swap stories about the experience while enjoying some great food and local brews. Federal Jack's is located at 8 Western Ave. in Kennebunk.

And don’t forget to become a fan of the Beach Raid on Facebook for photos, training tips and more.
