Although, as Emily points out, this beer was initially created in the mid-1990’s with some uncertainty (as the thought 'who would drink pumpkin beer?' ran through the minds of many), it has become a great success in Maine and is growing nationally. We are on our way to shipping over 400,000 cases of Pumpkinhead this year, up more than 50% from 2010.
The article points to the growing demand for pumpkin beer and the hope that the success of Pumpkinhead in particular will take the Shipyard brand to the national level.
