Beer and Food Tasting at Bert's Better Beers in Hooksett, NH



Bert's Better Beers in Hooksett, New Hampshire is having a Beer and Food Tasting on March 31st.

The tasting begins at 4:30, so leave work a little early and celebrate the end of March.

Participants will have the opportunity to try a variety of food with a wide range of beers, including Shipyard Brewing's XXXX IPA paired with a Spinach Polenta. Check out the rest of the menu below!

"NEW" Sneak Attack Chef series is cookin'


You won't find a foodie show on cable any better than these segments presented by Shipyard Brewery. The laid back demeanor of host Jim Bellisle, (Shipyard's N.H. Rep.), and our in-house videographer Ben Keller's efforts are outdone only by the delectable creations of the chefs they visit.


Chefs Terry Remier of The Blue Mermaid Island Grill in Portsmouth and Justin Lyonnais from The Commercial Street Fishery in Manchester are delicious to watch as they incorporate XXX IPA and Longfellow Winter Ale into dishes ranging from a gouda fondu to drunken shrimp.



Both chefs pull together phenomenal plates. Their skilled hands suggest years at perfecting their craft, yet the enthusiasm for trying something new is quite evident.

Beer Dinner with Shipyard Master Brewer Alan Pugsley


On Thursday, April, 29 The Regatta Banquet and Conference Center on Route 236 in Eliot, Maine will host a Beer Dinner with Shipyard Brewery's own Alan Pugsley.


Cocktail Hour in the "Optimus Room" from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, with dinner immediately following.

A delectable wine dinner hosted by Bruce Forsley of Shipyard Brewing Company, Optimus Imports and the Fess Parker Family of Wines is all coming together at The Inn By The Sea in beautiful Cape Elizabeth, Maine!

This special event will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010

The evening includes a Shipyard sponsored cocktail reception at 6:30pm, followed by a five course dinner featuring both wines and beer at 7:00.

Federal Jack's 5 Miler

Kennebunkport is going to be the place to be on Saturday, April 4 for the Federal Jack's 5 Miler.

The race starts and finishes at the Consolidated School (25 School Street Kennebunkport).

Register online at www.runreg.com or register the day of the race between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM. Registration is $25.00.

Federal Jack's Restaurant will be providing Pasta and Salad at the finish line along with water, banana's and bagels. After the race join everyone at Federal Jack's Restaurant at 11:45 AM for a $5.00 runner breakfast buffet and awards ceremondy. We will be having happy hour drink prices as well--$2.00 beers, $3.00 well drinks, and $4.00 wine.

All race proceeds will benefit the Gonneville family of Dayton. Tom Gonneville is a Maine State Trooper whose wife, Lisa, has been fighting Peritoneal Mesothelioma, a potentially fatal form of cancer that affects the peritoneum, or stomach lining. They have 4 young children.
